Mr. Douglas Alan Eveler, age 52 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., died Thursday, November 24, 2011. Doug was born June 30, 1959, in Jefferson City, Mo., the son of Joseph C. and Lorraine E. Bernskoetter Eveler. A lifelong resident of the Jefferson City area, Doug was a 1977 graduate of Helias High School. He was employed as a fork lift operator with Unilever for the past 33 years. Doug loved to fish and eat BBQ that was cooked by his brother, Robert. He also enjoyed watching sports and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and St. Louis Rams fan. Survivors: two sons, Donald Alan Eveler and his fiancÈe, Emily Dugdale of Missouri Valley, Iowa and Mark Joseph Eveler of Centertown, Mo.; his mother and step-father, Lorraine and Clarence Bruemmer of Jefferson City, Mo.; two brothers, Robert C. Eveler and his wife Debbie of Jefferson City, Mo. and Kevin J. Eveler and his wife Renee of Centertown, Mo.; five step-sisters, Barbara Kay Bruemmer, Sue Ann Sullivan and her husband Ted, Mary Beth Hoey and her husband Michael, Roberta Licklider and her husband Dennis, Janel Luck and her husband Bob; step-brother, Mike A. Bruemmer and his wife Debbi; nephew, Steven W. Eveler and his wife Reba of Linn, Mo.; and niece, Erica R. Eveler of Jefferson City, Mo.; and a step-nephew, Jordan Davis. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph C. Eveler. Visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 29, 2011, with a prayer service to be conducted at 4:30 p.m. in the Freeman Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 30, 2011, at Immaculate Conception Church with Monsignor David Cox officiating. Graveside services and interment will be held at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society, the Carmelites Monastery, or the American Heart Assn.
