Viola Linsenbardt

Viola Bertha Linsenbardt, age 96, of Lohman, died Saturday, November 19, 2011, at Jefferson Manor Care Center in Jefferson City. She was born June 18, 1915, near Lohman, in Cole County, a daughter of Otto and Hilda Kautsch Linsenbardt. Viola spent her entire life working on the farm, where she raised cattle and tended to her large vegetable garden. She was also a homemaker, busy raising her son. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Lohman. Survivors include her son, Wayne Linsenbardt of Lohman and his longtime friend, Nancy Bennett of Holts Summit; one sister, Esther Linsenbardt of Lohman; and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Lorene Linsenbardt and Helen Koestner; and two brothers, Arthur and Arnold Linsenbardt. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 23, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Lohman with Pastor Edward Merckel officiating. Interment will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery in Lohman. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until service time at the church on Wednesday.
