Margaret Hoelscher

Margaret J. Hoelscher, 59 years old, passed away Friday, November 11, 2011, in Jefferson City. Margaret was born to the late Helen and Joseph Hoelscher and was one of six children. She was a 1970 graduate of Jefferson City High School. Never married, she worked in the factory industry until her retirement in 2006. A member of St. Peter's Church in Jefferson City, she spent her remaining years in the comfort and care of her family. She is survived by three children: JoAnn Reeves of Columbia, Brandy Hoelscher of Jefferson City, and Patrick Hoelscher of Jefferson City; two grandchildren: Ashley Phillippe and Doug Blackwell of Columbia; four siblings: Billy June Strickland and her husband Larry of Kansas City, Betty Burks and her husband Roger of Macon, Jim Hoelscher and his wife Cathy of Holts Summit, and Joseph Hoelscher and his wife Marcia of Tebbetts; one sister-in-law, Jean Poeschel of Mokane; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well as two great-aunts, all of whom loved her and will miss her deeply. She was preceded in death by her parents, Helen Barker Hoelscher and Joseph Franklin Hoelscher, and a brother, Bob Poeschel. No funeral services are scheduled to be held per Margaret's wishes, and her ashes will be scattered at a time of the family's choosing.
