Dorothy Ommen

Dorothy M. Ommen, 80, Kansas City, Mo., died Friday, November 4, 2011. Survived by a grieving family of six children (including Douglas Ommen and Joy Northweather of Jefferson City), seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and four siblings and their families, we celebrate her new life with Christ. Services will be at 2 p.m., Friday, November 11, at Atonement Lutheran Church, 9948 Metcalf, Kansas City, Mo. Visitation will be at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes, Kansas City, Mo., from 6-8 p.m. on November 10. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to the Ommen Memorial Scholarship Fund in memory of Jerry and Dorothy. Checks should be made payable to the Lutheran Community Foundation, and sent to 625 4th Ave. S., Ste. 1500, Minneapolis, MN 55415, with the memorial fund name written in the note portion of the check.
