Mary Belville

Mrs. Mary Belville, age 87 years, of St. Louis, Mo., died Saturday, November 5, 2011, at the National Health Care Center, St. Louis, Mo. Mary was born October 26, 1924, in Jefferson City, Mo., the daughter of Jacob and Mattie Moad Bickel. She was married on July 4, 1959, in Jefferson City, Mo., to George Belville, who preceded her in death on November 27, 2005. Mary was a 1942 graduate of Tipton High School, Tipton, Mo. A lifelong resident of the St. Louis area, Mary was employed as the Food Service Manager for the Clayton Junior High School in Clayton, Mo., for 20 years prior to her retirement in 1997. She enjoyed gardening and decorating. Survivors include: one son, Gary Belville and his wife Renee of Maryland Heights, Mo.; three brothers, Marvin Bickel of Jefferson City, Mo., Gene Bickel of Jefferson City, Mo. and Donald Bickel and his wife Pat of Lexington, S.C.; and two sisters, Bettie Mosley of Columbia, Mo. and Jan Craighead and her husband Pete of Fulton, Mo. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and two brothers, John Bickel and the Reverend J. Arnold Bickel. Visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 10:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 9, 2011. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 9, 2011, in the Freeman Chapel with the Reverend Frank Whitney officiating. Interment will be at Riverview Cemetery.
