Harriett Joan Wray, 85, of Eldon, died Saturday, November 5, 2011, at the Golden Age Living Center, Stover. She was born October 20, 1926, in Eldon, a daughter of the late Henry and Hattie Carpenter Hull. She was united in marriage in Kansas City, to Carl Wray, who preceded her in death in 1960. She attended Eldon Public Schools. Harriett was very active in church her whole life and enjoyed playing the organ, piano and guitar. She loved her family and pets and was never afraid of death, always looking forward to seeing those who passed before her. She is survived by one daughter, Carla Benz and husband Larry of Russellville; one son, Jason Wray and wife Betty of Eldon; one brother, Pat Hull and wife Ann of Eldon; two sisters, Betty Yates of Eldon and Margaret Davidson; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 9, 2011, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home, where funeral services will follow at 12:00 p.m. with the Rev. Murl Nash officiating. Interment will follow in the Eldon Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Golden Age Living Center Activities Fund.
