Marcella Christine Hogan

Marcella Christine Hogan, 77, of Clarksburg, passed away Friday, November 4, 2011, at her residence. She was born June 21, 1934, in Indianapolis, Ind., the daughter of Sherman and Ruby Dee (Horton) Hogan, both of whom preceded her in death. She was a 1952 graduate of the School of Lake of the Ozarks. She was married on December 10, 1970, to Cecil E. Wood, who survives of California. She worked from 1961 to 1984 as a clerk for the Missouri State Board of Cosmetology and later for the Department of Revenue. She was a member of the Campfire Fellowship Cowboy Church in Tipton, and was a member of the Eastern Star for many years. She also was a member of the American Quarter Horse Association, the Show Me Horse Show Circuit, the Palomino Association, and the Appaloosa Horse Club. She was a 4H Youth Instructor and a sponsor for the Foreign Exchange Student Program, from which she had young people from all over the world in her home. She is survived by one son, Justin Wood and fiancée Cindy Schatzer of Clarksburg; two daughters, Terri Weiler and fiancé Mark Bilderback of Tipton, and Dallas Jacksons and husband Earl of Alamogordo, N.M.; grandchildren, Laura Latham, Jason Schatzer, Marshall H. Branton and wife Jennifer, Robin D. Earl and husband Wesley, Sierra Davidson, Dawna Goade, Jonathan and Michael Basnett; great-grandchildren, Taylor Zimmerman, Garrett Latham, Danika Latham, and Thaddious Branton; two sisters, Nancy Webb of Kansas City, and Virginia O'Hare of Lake Ozark; nieces, Leah Sapp and husband Matt, and Jennifer Hatfield; nephews, Scott Hatfield and Eric Webb and wife Robin; and great-nephews, Luke and Jake. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Campfire Fellowship Cowboy Church, c/o Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, 100 S.
