Leo Strobel

Leo J. Strobel, 87, of rural Concordia, Mo., died Wednesday, November 2, 2011, at the Lutheran Nursing Home in Concordia. Born December 27, 1923, in Lohman, Mo., he was the son of the late Otto H. Strobel and Johanna Rockelman Strobel. He was a 1943 graduate of Russellville High School. On November 24, 1945, he married Cornelia M. Linsenbardt who preceded him in death on June 17, 2011. They moved to Concordia in 1957, where he was a life long farmer and a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. He was also a seed producer. Survivors include two sons, Richard E. Strobel and wife Linda, Bruce G. Strobel and wife Alice, all of rural Concordia; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Tena Doehla of rural Concordia; along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one sister, Laura Gasau. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 5, 2011, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Rev. Patrick Niles officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7:00 p.m. Friday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Concordia.
