Douglas Norman Renick, 50, of Jefferson City, passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2011. He was born on June 24, 1961, in Jefferson City, Missouri, a son of the late James Richard Sr. and Angeline Amelia Kuehn Renick. He attended St. Joseph Catholic School, Jefferson City High School and Linn Tech emphasizing in mechanics and heavy equipment. He was employed at Missouri Department of Transportation for over 25 years. He was a member of the American Legion and the Elks Lodge. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching Chiefs football, listening to music and especially attending his son, Zach's baseball and basketball games. He is survived by his son: Zachary Douglas Renick and his mother Cindy of Russellville; four brothers: James Richard Renick Jr. (Velma) of Jefferson City, Daniel S. Renick of Jefferson City, Thomas Keith Renick (Sarah) of Jefferson City, and Robert William Renick of Columbia; one sister: Mary Renick Gallatin of Jefferson City; eight nephews, one niece and numerous great- nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, November 3, 2011, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, November 4, 2011, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home with Father Brendan Doyle officiating. Entombment will follow in the Resurrection Cemetery Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Zachary Renick's Educational Fund.
