Shirley A. Steuber (Markway) Hall, 71, of Lee's Summit, formerly of Jefferson City, passed away Thursday, May 5, 2011, at her home, with her family at her side. She was born December 14, 1939 in Westphalia, the daughter of Arthur and Zella (Price) Steuber. She was united in marriage to James Hall, who preceded her in death. Shirley was a graduate of St. Peter's High School in Jefferson City. She was employed by Sears Company for years, then with Lee's Summit School District prior to her retirement, as well as various occupations. She enjoyed sitting on her new deck looking at her flower gardens, going to rummage sales, playing cards, dominoes, and attending horse races and traveling. Her grandchildren and new great-grandson were so much joy to her. Survivors include her daughter, Susie Rose; five sons, Kevin (Mindy) Markway, Keith (Linda) Markway, Alan (Patty) Markway, Tom (Carrie) Markway and Tim Ruby, all of Kansas City area; three sisters, Dorothy M. Clark of Jefferson City, Joanie Gerlach of Lee's Summit and E. Lucille (Bill) Schrimph of Branson; two aunts, numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding her death were her husband, Jim Hall; parents, Arthur and Zella Steuber; brother, Virgil Stueber; sister, Marie (Kliethermes) Kirsch; brothers-in-law, Ted Kirsch and Cecil E. Clark.
