Mary M. (Wood-Boyce) McIntosh, 87, passed away Saturday, May 21, 2011, in Springfield. Mary was born March 6, 1924, in California, the daughter of the late Katherine and Gaylord Boyce of Eugene. She was united in marriage to Myron A. McIntosh on July 25, 1952, in Joplin. She spent much of her life working for the Safeway Company and for Freeman Hospital. She later retired from Dr. David Seidel's office, moving to Springfield one year after her husband's death. She is survived by three sisters, Evelyn Sesata of St. Louis, Wilma Hogg of Springfield and Norma Greenwell of Columbia; one brother and his wife, Wayne and Paula Boyce of Rocklin, Calif.; sister-in-law, Judy Boyce of Springfield; and several nieces and nephews, plus many friends and relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband, both parents and four brothers: Harold, Edwin and Charles Boyce, all of Eugene, and Marvin Boyce of Springfield. A memorial service will be held at the Thornhill-Dillon Mortuary in Joplin on Saturday, May 28 at 3:00 p.m. Mary will be buried in Mount Hope Cemetery in Webb City, beside her husband of 52 years.
