Jimmie Joe Arnold McNay, 82, of Barnett, Mo., passed away on Friday, May 20, 2011, at St. Mary's Health Center, Jefferson City. He was born on March 4, 1929, in Centertown, Mo., the son of Cleo J. and Velma M. (McKenna) McNay, both of whom preceded him in death. He was married on February 27, 1959, in Kansas City, Kan. to Beverly Jean Rich, who survives of the home. He was a 1948 graduate of Jamestown High School, and served in the United States Air Force. He became a member of the Masonic Lodge of Jamestown, Mo. in 1952, later transferring to Lodge in California, Mo. In 1953, he was a charter member of the Jamestown Lions Club; in 1956, he was Chairman of Moniteau Co. Democratic Club; in 1995, he was elected President of Morgan County Democrat Club, re-elected in 1998. Jimmie served 14 years as Treasurer for the Mid-Mo Democrat Club. He was a volunteer for the Meals-on-Wheels program. In 1998, he served as treasurer and then secretary for the Morgan County Central Committee. In November 1999, he was appointed to the Morgan County Sr. Citizens Fund Board; and in 2001, he was appointed member of the Golden Beach Rural Fire Dept. Board and also Board of Directors of the Golden Beach Community Center. After retirement on November 30, 1994, he continued in his organizations and memberships and enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling. He is survived by two sons, Michael James McNay and wife Kathy of Stuttgart, Ark., and John Cleo McNay and wife Karen of Jefferson City; one daughter, Anita Jean Janes of California, Mo.; four grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, John (Jack) McNay; and four sisters, Helen Miller, Celia Turner, Dean Dedrick and Velma (Chick) Larimore. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, California, Mo. Burial will be in Grace United Methodist Cemetery in Jamestown. Officiating will be Rev. Larry G. Brown. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2011, from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home, with a Masonic Service at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to either the Golden Beach Community Center or Masonic Home of Missouri, c/o Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, 100 S.
