Mrs. Carriette Tallman Fricke, of Jefferson City, Mo., peacefully passed away Sunday, May 22, 2011, at St. Mary's Health Center. Carriette was born February 19, 1922, in Barnumton, Mo. the daughter of Preston and Eula Appleton White. She was married on October 12, 1946, to Stanley Tallman who preceded her in death. On February 14, 2004, she married Dr. Vernon Fricke who also preceded her in death. A resident of the Jefferson City area for over 60 years, Carriette graduated from Central Missouri State University. After teaching school for two years, she moved to Jefferson City and was employed with the Missouri Dept. of Revenue for over 40 years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the American Business Womens Assn. Carriette loved to travel, including trips to Europe and Australia as well as extensive travel in the United States. Survivors include: one daughter, Brenda Tallman Mueller and her husband Kent of Warner Robins, Georgia; three grandchildren, Sarah Mueller of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, David Mueller and his wife Erin of Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio and Katherine Mueller of Atlanta, Georgia. Visitation will be at the First Presbyterian Church from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 25, 2011. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 25, 2011, at the First Presbyterian Church with the Reverend Dr. David Henry officiating. Graveside services and interment will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Mose Clark Cemetery near Camdenton, Mo. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the charity of their choice.
