Dorothy Richter

Dorothy M. Richter, 84, of Hazelwood, died Thursday, May 19, 2011, at her home. She was survived by two daughters, Sharon Bethmann of Hazelwood and Laura (Tim) McClay of the state of Maryland; two sons, Larry (Zilla) Richter of the state of Florida and Robert (Julie) Richter of St. Charles; one step-sister, Joan (Oscar) Branson (Schaefer) of Jefferson City; two step-brothers, Walter (Ruth) Schaefer of Jefferson City and Norbert (Janet) Schaefer of Jefferson City; one step-brother-in-law, Harry Otto of Westphalia; 10 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and many other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ferdinand H. Richter; and one step-sister, Mary Otto (Schaefer). Visitation will be 6-9 p.m., Sunday, May 22, at Hutchens Funeral Home in Florissant. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday, May 23, at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church in Hazelwood. Internment will be in the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis.
