Robert Knaebel

Robert John Knaebel, 83, of Jefferson City, died Tuesday, May 3, 2011, at St. Mary's Health Center. He was born on April 13, 1928, in Jefferson City, the son of the late Clarence George and Tillie Moeller Knaebel. Robert was a commercial fisherman for most of his life. He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. Survivors include: three children, Stephanie (Leroy) Roettgen, Jefferson City, Suzanne (John) Stoy, Minneapolis, Minn., and Randy Knaebel, Jefferson City; seven grandchildren, Tim Roettgen, Leigh Ann Tillman, Hannah Stoy, Madeline Stoy, Levi Stoy, Jesse Stoy, and Esther Stoy; five great-grandchildren, Claire Roettgen, Blake Roettgen, Nicholas Roettgen, Trent Tillman, and Walt Tillman; and one sister, Louise Ruth, Jefferson City. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ed Knaebel. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Thursday, May 12, 2011, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with the Rev. J. David Maher officiating. Burial will be in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m., Wednesday, May 11, 2011, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home.
