Artie Little

Artie Lee (Johnson) Little, age 96, of Lupus, Missouri, died Monday, April 25, 2011, at the Golden Living Center in Rush City, Minnesota. Artie Lee was born on October 4, 1914, at her lifelong home in Lupus, Missouri, to Irving and Florence (Harbour) Johnson. She was a homemaker, a member of the Daughters of Rebekah, and also faithfully volunteered at her church and at the polls on election days. She married Herbert M. Little on July 14, 1930, in Boonville, Missouri. She had two daughters, Bonnie Rose Little (Patino) and Dolores Anne Little (Oerly). Artie Lee had many interests. She loved sewing, playing the piano, travel, pottery making, genealogy, and was an accomplished and avid quilt maker. In her later years she enjoyed reminiscing about her heartfelt memories of her beloved home in Lupus. In 2004, she was honored with an award recognizing her years of faithful service as the oldest living member of Lupus Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Dolores Oerly; granddaughters, Terri Borghardt, Susan (Tom) Resner, Bonnie (Tony) Carlson, Nancy (Ramsey) Albader, Christina (Hale) Johnston and son-in-law Basilio Osorio. She has 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She left a great legacy and will be missed dearly. Artie Lee is preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Little (died Feb. 11, 1980); daughter, Bonnie Rose Patino; son-in-law, Max Oerly and granddaughter, Marianne Patino (Osorio).
