Shana Roseann Woodall

Ms. Shana Roseann Woodall, age 43 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2011, at the Womens and Childrens Hospital in Columbia, Mo. Shana was born on January 7, 1968, in Kansas City, Mo., a daughter of Penny Tyler and William C. Woodall Jr. She was a 1985 graduate of Havana High School in Havana, Ill., and a 1991 graduate of Dakota County School of Nursing in Rosemount, Minn. Shana was a senior care nurse for over 20 years in Minneapolis, Minn. before moving to Jefferson City in August 2010 to be closer to her family. While living in Jefferson City, she was a server with Colton's Steakhouse. She enjoyed music, reading and walking, but most importantly, she loved spending time with her family. Survivors include: her mother, Penny Tyler-Papendick of Jefferson City, Mo.; one son, Kristopher Woodall of Minneapolis, Minn.; one daughter, Khadeeja Abdurrab of the home; one granddaughter, Amerie Woodall; one brother, William Woodall and his wife Veronica of Scottsboro, Ala.; her maternal grandparents, Mona and Daniel Ballah of Sedalia, Mo.; a niece, a nephew, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, William Woodall Jr. A celebration of Shana's Life will be held in the chapel of Hawthorn Memorial Gardens from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 2, 2011. Graveside services and interment will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens with Pastor Larry Ollison officiating. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
