James Borgmeyer

James "Jim" William Borgmeyer, 58, of Jefferson City, passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2011, at the Golden Living Center. He was born on July 5, 1952, in Argyle, a son of the late Anton and Marie Werner Borgmeyer. He was united in marriage on October 13, 1979, in St. Thomas, to Lucinda A. Schulte, who survives at the home. Jim was a graduate of Fatima High School and Lincoln University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business. Jim was previously employed with Missouri Department of Corrections, Montgomery Wards and JC Penney. He was a member of the St. Thomas Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed music, especially rock and roll oldies, spending time with his family and friends and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. In addition to his wife, Lucinda, he is survived by his four brothers, Roger Borgmeyer and his wife Emilie of Meta, Kenneth Borgmeyer and his wife Ann of Florissant, Eugene Borgmeyer and his wife Frances of O'Fallon, and Virgil Borgmeyer and his wife Cathy of Meta; one sister, Gloria Allen and her husband Joe of Springfield; two brothers-in-law, Stan Schulte and his wife Mary Lee of Swansea, Ill., and Larry Schulte and his wife Sheryl of Lake Mary, Fla.; one sister-in-law, Mary Ann Schulte of Kirkwood and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Jennifer Ann Borgmeyer on June 25, 2001. Friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 2, 2011, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 2, 2011, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home, with Father Mark Porterfield officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Thomas Catholic Church Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Special Learning Center or the Humane Society.
