Anna Pearl Protzman

Anna Pearl Scammahorn Protzman, 95, of Broken Arrow, Okla., passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2011. She was born June 19, 1915, to James William and Nancy Elizabeth (Fletchall) Scammahorn in Pawnee, Okla. She was married to Doren Ray Protzman of Severy, Kan., from 1938 until his death in 1997. She graduated from Classen High School in 1935. Anna was President of Oklahoma Beta Chapter of Delta Theta Chi Sorority, served as Province President of Taygeta Province and National Trustee. She was a member of the Builders Class of Wesley Methodist Church. Together Anna and Doren developed Aero Precision Industries, Inc and Avionics, Inc. making significant contributions to Oklahoma's aircraft industry. They were members of Oklahoma's wing of the OX5 Club as well as the Soonairs, an organization for Oklahoma pioneers in the aircraft field. Anna is survived by her children, Dr. Robert A. Protzman of Jefferson City and his wife Brenda, Carmen Lyman of Tulsa, Okla. and her husband Richard; grandchildren, Rene' (Lyman) Schiltz, residing in Cypress, Texas with her husband Dennis, Roger Protzman residing in Norfolk, Neb. with his wife Tricia, and Ginger Protzman residing in Jefferson City; great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Abby, Grace, Matthew, Esther, and David Protzman of Norfolk, Makenna, Brennan and Magdalen Schiltz of Cypress and Maksim Protzman of Jefferson City. She was preceded in death by one brother, Lawrence; and seven sisters, Innis, Amanda, Faye, Bessie, Eva, Maude, and Maggie. Anna will be greatly missed and we pray the Lord receives her into heavenly glory.
