Rosalee Emory

Rosalee Emory, age 89, of Licking, passed away Saturday, March 19, 2011. The daughter of the late Clifford Walker and Belle (Capps) Walker, she was born January 27, 1922 in Salem. On January 28, 1939, Rosalee Walker was united in marriage to Carl Emory and to their union six children were born. Carl preceded her in death on January 29, 2000. Survivors include her daughters: Jeannette Koogler and husband Gerald of Licking, June Evans and husband Wayne of Houston, Carla Martin and husband Kenny of California, Glenda Elliott and husband Dan of Jefferson City, and Mary Brooks of Salem; brother-in-law, Harold Emory and wife Marie of Salem; sisters-in-law, Irene Emory of Willow Springs and Lucille Walker of the state of Illinois; 15 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members and many friends. Preceding her in death were her parents, Clifford and Belle Walker; her son, Leo Emory in 2005; two brothers, Grayson Walker and Dale Walker; and two sisters, Ruby Fraser and Vernie Wells. Funeral service for Rosalee Emory was March 22, 2011, at the Salem Chapel of the James & Gahr Mortuary with Pastor Dr. James Miller and Pastor Richard Blagg officiating. Music was provided by Ann Emory and the Abounding Hope Church Trio. Serving as pallbearers were De'Leslie Koogler, Greg Koogler, Michael Emory, Brad Evans, Tony Martin, Chad Black, and Eli Brooks. Interment was in the North Lawn Cemetery, Salem.
