Mr. John H. Dulle, 81, of Galesburg, Ill., died Friday, March 11, 2011, at Galesburg Cottage Hospital. He was born July 11, 1929, in Jefferson City, Mo., to John Bernard and Mary Neutzler Luebbert Dulle. He married Karen Hannam on April 15, 1989, in Oneida, Ill., and she survives. He was raised by his Aunt Lena, his father's sister, in Vienna, Mo. until he was in sixth grade. He graduated from Helias High School in Jefferson City, Mo. John was a staff engineer in the planning department for Caterpillar in East Peoria for 31 years and retired February of 1986. He served in the U.S. Army from 1949 to 1951 traveling with General Douglas McArthur in Japan. He was a member of the General Douglas McArthur Honor Guard. He was of the Roman Catholic Faith. John has lived in Galesburg, Ill., for the past nine years. Also surviving are a daughter, Delaine (and Dennis) Draper of Peoria, Ill.; and a half brother, Herman Luebbert of Poway, Calif. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral service will be 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 15, 2011, at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. Visitation will be 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel. Burial will be in Oneida Cemetery, Oneida, Ill.
