Zelda Mae Cross, 83, of Jefferson City, died Saturday, March 5, 2011, at Villa Marie Skilled Nursing Facility. She was born on March 12, 1927, in Freedom, Mo., the daughter of the late Ray Arthur and Pearl Mae Kosark Rice. She was married on Nov. 15, 1947, in St. Louis, Mo., to Wilson Delois Cross who preceded her in death on July 15, 1979. A 1945 graduate of Linn High School, Mrs. Cross retired in 1973 as Administrative Assistant with the U.S. Government Army Audit Agency in St. Louis where she had been employed for 26 years. A member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2693 Auxiliary, and Roscoe Enloe American Legion Post 5 Auxiliary, she was of the Catholic faith. Survivors include one sister, Kay Strate, Lake Ozark, Mo.; one brother, Carl E. (Marjorie) Rice, Jefferson City; three nieces, Lou An (Larry) Isenberg, Jefferson City; Linda (Terry) Adkison, Russellville, Mo.; Lisa (Sam) Bartow, Lohman, Mo.; one nephew, David (Shirley) Rice, Jefferson City; five great-nieces and nephews; and one great-great-niece. Graveside services will be Wednesday in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis. Private family visitation will be held at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home.
