Charles Pearre (Veteran)
Charles W. Pearre, 83, of Jefferson City, passed away Sunday, March 6, 2011, at Boone Hospital. He was born March 22, 1927, in Holts Summit, the son of Lemuel F. and Emma G. (Clardy) Pearre. He was united in marriage to Geneva F. Cain on July 26, 1952. She survives at the home. Charles was a World War II Veteran, serving in the United States Navy. He was a master carpenter by trade and a member of the Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners Union of America Local 945 for over 45 years. He was a member of Providence Baptist Church in New Bloomfield and the XYZ Club of New Bloomfield. He is survived by his wife, Geneva; two sons, Charles W. Pearre Jr. and wife Janet of Rockwell, Texas, and Gregg A. Pearre and wife Shiela of Jefferson City; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild; one sister, Rometta Ferguson of Lee's Summit; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 9, at Hopewell Baptist Church in New Bloomfield, with Brother Rick Hopkins officiating. Interment will follow in Hopewell Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:30 am until the time of service.
