Randy Hildebrand

Randy Bruce Hildebrand, 55, of Columbia, formerly of Jefferson City, passed away Saturday, February 26, 2011, at his home. He was born July 24, 1955, in Jefferson City, Missouri, a son of Charles Bruce and Donna F. (Pearon) Hildebrand, who survive in Jefferson City. He attended Immaculate Conception School and graduated from Jefferson City High School. On November 4, 1995, Randy was united in marriage in Columbia, Missouri, to Carolyn Ward, who survives at their home. Randy worked for Laborers Local Union #955 for more than 30 years, where he was also an officer to Laborers Local Union #955. He was a member of the Local AFLCIO. He was active with Boy Scouts of America and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and helping other people. He was especially fond of his children. Randy is also survived by three children: Randy Bruce Hildebrand II of the home, Nichole Ward of Columbia, and Kimberly Hildebrand of the home; one sister: Charlotte Smarr (husband Mel) of Ashland; one grandson: Braedyn Ward of Columbia; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. Friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home, where a prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 4, 2011, at the Cathedral of St. Joseph, with Fr. Clarence E. Wiederholt officiating. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Randy Hildebrand Children's Educational Fund.
