Carol McGonegal

Carol McGonegal, 64, Crownsville, Md., died Wednesday, June 22, 2011, at her home. She was born April 2, 1947, in Middlesex, N.J., a daughter of Harold Francis and Helen Rose Guoth McGonegal. She was married Aug. 21, 1988, in Crownsville, Md., to Edmund Colby Munger, who survives at the home. Carol earned a bachelor's degree and a master's in computer science from Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey. She was employed at the Murray Hill, N.J., facility of Bell Telephone Laboratories, which later became AT&T. She retired as an Associate Master Technical Supervisor (AMTS). Carol was a Tai Chi instructor in the Annapolis area for more than 20 years and was a facilitator for the International Healing List of the Sufi order. She and her husband enjoyed sailing, boating, traveling and photography. Other survivors include: one brother, Richard (and Kristie) McGonegal, Jefferson City, Mo.; one stepdaughter, Melissa (and Reid) McLay, Severna Park, Md.; one stepson, Josh (and Gwen) Munger; Rochester, N.Y.; and two nieces, Heather McGonegal, Gladstone, Mo., and Jane McGonegal, Columbia, Mo. Visitation will be at 1 p.m. with services at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, June 26, 2011, at Taylor Funeral Home, Annapolis, Md. Burial will be at a later date in Arlington Cemetery.
