William B. Chiles

William B. Chiles, 77, of Charlotte N.C., passed away Sunday, June 5, 2011, in Charlotte, N.C., after a battle with lung cancer. He was a 1952 graduate of Jefferson City High School. Mr. Chiles served in the United States Marine Corps., and was stationed in Korea for 13 months. He was employed by the advertising division of 3M Company for 35 years, the last 10 as Regional Account Executive. He was an avid golfer and thoroughly enjoyed his membership at Carolina Golf Club. He was survived by his loving wife, Dorothy; three daughters, Darla Todd, Sandy Dowdy and Patty Chiles; one grandson; one brother, Bob Chiles of Jefferson City; and several nephews. Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, June 24, 2011, at the graveside in Elmwood Cemetery, 824 South Dudley St., Memphis, TN 38104.
