Dorothy L. Knorp, 89, of California, passed away Thursday, June 16, 2011, at Moniteau Care Center. She was born on August 30, 1921, in Jamestown, the daughter of Fred and Lillie (Strubin) Knorp, both of whom preceded her in death. She was a graduate of Jamestown High School, and worked as a clerk for the ASCS. She was a member of California United Church of Christ, and a past member of the California Country Club, where she was the first woman to hit a hole in one. She is survived by one brother, Bill Knorp of Wichita, Kan.; four nieces, Judy Ash and Patty Bruce, both of California, Nancy Lehman of Bowling Brook, Ill., and Julie Romereim of Andover, Kan.; one nephew, Michael Knorp of Wichita, Kan.; and other great-nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 20, 2011, at 10:30 a.m. at United Church of Christ in California. Burial will be in St. Paul's Evangelical Cemetery in Jamestown. Officiating will be Rev. Collette Jones. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 20, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. at the church.
