Louise Helen Lehman, 72, of St. Martins, died Thursday, June 16, 2011, at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born on May 12, 1939, in Taos, the daughter of the late Bruno and Bernadine Prenger Eiken. She was united in marriage on July 26, 1958, in Taos, to Lawrence Otto Lehman, who resides at the home. Louise had been employed with Oberman Clothing Manufacturing, House of Bargains, and Schulte's Fresh Foods as the manager of the deli department. She was a member of St. Martin Catholic Church, St. Ann's Sodality, St. Martin Quilting Circle, and the St. Martin Church prayer line. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, gardening, and love to spend time with her grandchildren. Other survivors include seven children: Rose (Gary) Angerer, Jefferson City, Therese (Mark) Bruenger, Jefferson City, Joyce (James) Moeller, Henley, Carol (Bruce) Magee, Jefferson City, Michael (Merideth) Lehman, Jefferson City, Gary (Diana) Lehman, Wardsville, Steven Lehman, St. Martins; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and three siblings: twin brother Louis (Barbara) Eiken, Taos, Josie (Roman) Kampeter, Taos, and Earline (Paul) Distler, Lake Ozark. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Lawrence Lehman Jr.; and two sisters, Evelyn Wansing and Henrietta Taube. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Saturday, June 18, 2011, at St. Martin Catholic Church, with the Rev. Edwin A. Schmidt officiating. Burial will be in St. Martin Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:30-7 p.m., today, Friday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 4 p.m. Memorials are suggested to American Lung Association, 1118 Hampton Ave., St. Louis, MO 63139; or donor's choice.
