Karl E. Rebstock, 82, of Eldon, passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2011, at Lake Regional Health Systems in Osage Beach. On February 14, 1929, he was born in Henderson, Iowa, to the late Ira and Lelia (McKenzie) Rebstock. On July 10, 1954, he was married in Ft. Worth, Texas, to Anna Mae (Heldstab) Rebstock, who preceded him in death on May 31, 2008. He graduated from Eldon High School in 1947. He then served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Karl began his law enforcement career as a police officer in 1954 with the Dallas Texas Police Department, and he most recently worked for the Miller County Sheriff's Department in Tuscumbia, retiring on March 24, 2011. He was a member of the Masons. Survivors include nieces, nephews, and a sister-in- law, Byrl Rebstock of Kansas City. Karl was preceded in death by one son, Michael Shane Rebstock; and three brothers, Royce, Robert, and Garald Rebstock. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2011, at Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, from 12 noon until funeral time at 2 p.m. with Chris Reynolds, Minister, officiating. Interment will follow the funeral service at the Eldon City Cemetery with full military honors provided at the graveside. In lieu of flowers, memorials for Karl are suggested to the Karl Rebstock Memorial Fund for the Miller County Sheriff's Department of Tuscumbia.
