Robert Holt (Veteran)

Robert Leon Holt, 77, of Jefferson City, passed away Thursday, May 26, 2011, at the St. Joseph's Bluff's Nursing Home. He was born on January 4, 1934, in Holts Summit, a son of the late Lon and Cecila Marie (Oliver) Holt. He was a 1952 graduate of Jefferson City High School. Robert served in the United States Army from 1954-1956. In 1959, he graduated from the Southern School of Optometry in Memphis, Tenn. He was a member of the Missouri Optometric Association, and the Southwood United Church of Christ. Robert enjoyed reading and doing yard work. He is survived by one son: Mark Holt of Columbus, Ohio; and his good friend: Donald Hahne of Jefferson City. He was preceded in death by one brother: Raymond Holt. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:30 p.m., Friday, June 10, 2011, at St. Joseph's Bluff's Nursing Home, 1306 West Main Street in Jefferson City.
