Charles Rohrer

Charles "Charlie" Rohrer, 47, of Columbia, passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2011. Charlie was born June 26, 1963, in Jefferson City, to Ralph and Dorothy Rohrer. He was married to Karen Masters on November 13, 1984, and five years later, their daughter, Jennifer, was born. Charlie was a friendly person who enjoyed hosting parties and loved to make others laugh. He was always very active, involved in a myriad of different hobbies, including shooting pool, fishing, kick boxing and even receiving a black belt in Tae Kwan Do. Charlie was a very sociable man and a great friend to all who knew him. He made it a point to spend time with others, especially his daughter Jenny, who was the center of his universe. Charlie is survived by his former wife, Karen, their daughter, Jenny; four sisters, Ann LeCure (Marvin) of Centertown, Jane Woosley (Ron) of Richmond, Va., Susan Carman (John) of Rowlett, Texas, and Beth Wiskirchen (Mike) of Johnston, Iowa; two brothers, Ralph Rohrer (Betty) of St. Charles, and John Rohrer (Susan) of Richardson, Texas; his best friend, Ron Brockman (Penny); and many other close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and nephew, Garrett Rohrer. A gathering of family and friends will be held at Memorial Funeral Home, today, Saturday, January 29, 2011, from 2:00 to 4:30 p.m.
