Ted Herron II (Veteran)

Ted Joe Herron II, age 65, of Rogersville, Mo., passed away Monday, January 24, 2011, in Missouri Veteran's Home. He was born January 27, 1945, in Butler, Mo., to Ted Joe and Reeda Jane Herron. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Joe received his Master's Degree in History from Lincoln University, Jefferson City, Missouri. Joe worked for the last 20 years for Osborn and Associates Insurance Company. After retirement, he enjoyed spending time with his animals and his hobbies. He is survived by his son, Reed Smith Herron and wife Teresa, of Nixa; special friend, Judith Ryan, of Rogersville; one brother, Marshall Herron, of St. Cloud, Minn.; one aunt, Bobbi Hunt, of St. Joseph, Mo.; and one uncle, Harold Herron, of Jefferson City, Mo. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ted Joe and Reeda Jane Herron; and one daughter, Thea Jo Herron. A memorial visitation will be held from 2 to 3 p.m., Thursday, January 27, 2011, in Greenlawn Funeral Home North, Springfield, Mo. A private burial will be at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
