Janice Kay Leeds, 60, of Jefferson City, passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2011, at St. Mary's Health Center. She was born February 27, 1950, in Hillsboro, North Dakota, a daughter of C. LeRoy and LuVerne (Doeden) Erickson. She was a graduate of Hillsboro High School in Hillsboro, North Dakota. On December 29, 1971, she was united in marriage to Milton E. Leeds, who survives at their home. Janice was an Elementary School Teacher and worked at Cole R-V Elementary School in Eugene, Missouri until her retirement. She enjoyed reading, and was an avid St. Louis Cardinal and Missouri Tiger Fan. Janice loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Along with her husband Milton, Janice is also survived by three children: David Leeds (wife Sarah) of Bonne Terre, Mo.; Kyle Leeds (wife Jessica) of Buckner, Mo.; and Kristi Leeds of Jefferson City, Mo.; her mother: LuVerne Erickson of Hillsboro, N.D.; five grandchildren: Jackson, Isabelle, Olivia, Hayden, and Brennan; and one brother: Allen Erickson (wife Patty) of Winona, Minn. She was preceded in death by her father: C. LeRoy Erickson. Friends will be received from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 23, 2011, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home, with Rev. Shane Crum officiating. Interment will follow in Riverview Cemetery.
