Maurine Schneider

Mrs. Maurine G. Weiler Schneider, age 89 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., died Tuesday, January 18, 2011, at Columbia Manor Care Center. She was born on March 17, 1921, in Russellville, Mo., the daughter of Theodore and Grace Chambers Weiler. She was married on April 20, 1942, in Linn, Mo., to Harold C. Schneider who preceded her in death on January 6, 2008. A lifelong resident of the central Missouri area, Maurine was a 1938 graduate of Jefferson City High School and attended Jefferson City Junior College. A homemaker, Maurine was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. She was also an active volunteer for over 25 years with Memorial Community Hospital and later with Capital Region Medical Center. Survivors include: one daughter, Jean Black and her husband Bob of Columbia, Mo. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one sister, Alice Belle Weiler Johnson. Visitation will be held at Freeman Mortuary from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. Saturday. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 22, 2011, in the Freeman Chapel. Interment will be conducted at Riverview Cemetery. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Missouri River Hospice and Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders Assn.
