Norbert B. Schulte, 83, of Barnett, passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2011, in Barnett. He was born May 8, 1927, in Mary's Home, the son of Lambert Schulte and Elizabeth Doerhoff Schulte. He was married on June 18, 1949, in St. Elizabeth, to Anna Steinman, who preceded him in death on September 5, 2003. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Eldon. Norbert was a farmer, and bus driver for Eldon Schools for over 30 years. Survivors include his children and their spouses, Helen Franken and her husband David of Tipton, Bert Schulte and his wife Debbie of Columbia, Dorothy Schulte of New Franklin, Virgil Schulte and his wife Carol of Eldon, Fred Schulte and his wife Doris of Barnett, Barbara Bell and her husband Jim of Tuscumbia, Jerry Schulte and his wife Janene of Russellville, Betty Henke and her husband Jim of Salisbury, Paul Schulte and his wife Theresa of Malden, and Randy Schulte and his wife Becky of High Point; daughter-in-law, Cindy McGee of Winchester, Calif.; 20 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren; honorary daughter, Cheryl Bausler of New Franklin; one brother, Robert Schulte of Jefferson City; and one sister, Josephine Schwaller of Mary's Home. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna; one son, Jeff Schulte; his parents, and 12 brothers and sisters. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. Friday, January 14, 2011 at Sacred Heart Church in Eldon, with a prayer service at 3:45 p.m. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 15, 2011, at the church, with Msgr. Don Lammers and Fr. Fred Elskamp officiating. Burial will be in Greenmore Memorial Gardens in Barnett. Memorial contributions are suggested to Scared Heart Catholic Church or Greenmore Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are under the direction of Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon.
