Katherine M. Allee

Katherine M. Allee, 88, of California, Mo., passed away on Monday, January 10, 2011, at her residence. She was born on February 2, 1922, in Corticelli, Mo., the daughter of Walter and Lillian (Allee) Gamble, both of whom preceded her in death. She was married on October 12, 1940, in Eldon, Mo., to Othor A. Allee, who preceded her in death on April 4, 2004. For most of her working life, she was a clerk with the Department of Revenue for the State of Missouri. She also worked in a dentist's office, and at Carp's Department Store in California. After retirement, she worked at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services part-time. She is survived by two daughters, Betty Kueffer and husband Jim and Sandy Allee, all of California; three sisters-in-law, Norma Gamble, Genevieve Vogel, and Jean Allee; five grandchildren, Cheryl Schoeneberg, Cindy Flory, Brad and Brian Kueffer and Christine Koestner; 11 great-grandchildren; one niece, Nancy Long. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 14, 2011, at 11:30 a.m. at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services in California. Burial will be in Gamble Cemetery south of California. Officiating will be Mr. Jack Bowlin. Visitation will also be on Friday, January 14, 2011, from 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
