Geneva Lee Bohannon-Fowler, 83, of Jefferson City, passed away Saturday, January 8, 2011, at Jefferson City Manor Care Center with her family surrounding her. She was born November 8, 1927, in Bonnots Mill, Missouri, a daughter of the late Alfred John and Belva Alice (Starr) LeCure. She graduated from high school in Bonnots Mill, Missouri. She was a wonderful wife and mother, who lived a long life full of lots of people. She was preceded in death by three husbands: Carl Bohannon, Donald Scott and Sylvester Fowler. She was married to Sylvester Fowler for 27 years and had nine children. She was a Certified Nurses Aid in local hospitals for many years. She loved to cook for her family, work crossword puzzles, and making crafts. She was always there to spoil her grandchildren. She is survived by four children: John Fowler (wife Jackie) of Wichita Falls, Texas; Juanita Fowler; Norman Fowler (wife Lisa); and Virginia Fowler, all of Jefferson City; 17 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two sisters: Margaret Veltrop and Melva McMillan; two brothers: Frank LeCure and Tommy LeCure; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by five children: Pamela Steinmetz, Roberta Douglas, Tommy Fowler, Alice Gardner and Deanna Fowler; two grandchildren: Monica Muse and Danita Scrivner; three sisters: Cleora Clark, Elizabeth Craig and Kathrine Starr. Friends will be received from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 12, 2011, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home, where funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m., with Pastor Douglas Crader officiating. Interment will follow in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens.
