Eleanor Frances "Ellie" Biele, 70, of Jefferson City, died Wednesday, January 5, 2011, at Oak Tree Villas. She was born October 22, 1940, in St. Louis, a daughter of Robert W. and Helen Fister Hennessy. She was a 1958 graduate of Eugene Coyle High School in Kirkwood. On May 18, 1963, Ellie was united in marriage in Kirkwood to Ralph Biele, who survives at their home. Ellie was a homemaker and had worked for Dillard's, The Miracle and the Missouri River Regional Library. She was a member of the Cathedral of St. Joseph. She is also survived by two daughters, Catherine Lewis and husband Don of Jefferson City, Deborah Bates and husband Sean of Dardenne Prairie; two sisters, Marie Klevorn and husband David of St. Louis County, Roberta Garland and husband Gene of St. Louis County; three granddaughters, Audrey Kruse, Meghan Bates, Anna Kruse; and one grandson, Christian Bates. Friends will be received from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, January 9, 2011, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home, where a prayer service will be held at 5:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 10, 2011, at the Cathedral of St. Joseph, with Msgr. Robert A. Kurwicki officiating. Entombment will follow in the Resurrection Cemetery Mausoleum. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Goldschmidt Cancer Center or the Cathedral of St. Joseph.
