Emma H. Schulte, age 92, of Maryís Home, died Friday, December 31, 2010, at St. Maryís Health Center in Jefferson City. On September 18, 1918, she was born in Henley, to the late John Jacob and Marie Theresa (Loethen) Morff. She was married at Our Lady of the Snows Church in Maryís Home on October 17, 1939, to Raymond Herman Schulte, who preceded her in death on September 5, 1970. She was a member of Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church for over 70 years, the Maryís Home Quilting Club, Ladies Altar Sodality, Maryís Home card club, and the Maryís Home Bowling League. She worked at Chesebrough Ponds and later as a cook at Cole R-5 and Maryís Home Schools. She enjoyed quilting, playing cards, dancing, Cardinals baseball, Mizzou Tiger sports and spending time with her family. She is survived by nine children and their spouses, Dennis and Betty Schulte of Brazito, Carol and Charles Hartman of Jefferson City, Jane Bax of St. Elizabeth, Dale and Marlys Schulte of Jefferson City, John and Becky Schulte of Eldon, Theresa and Raymond Bax of Maryís Home, Sue and Michael Sanders of Cabot, Ark., Emma Jean and Alvin Jr. Koetting of Maryís Home, Bonnie and Dennis Graham of Brazito; one sister, Marie Holtmeyer of Jefferson City; one sister-in-law, Regina Morff of Jefferson City; 27 grandchildren; 70 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond; three brothers, Lawrence, Felix, Victor and Bernard Morff, three sisters, Sally Biffle, Laverne Berendzen and Arlene Hudak; son-in-law, Arlie Bax, grandson-in-law, Craig Russell, and one great-granddaughter, Claire Bax. Visitation will be today, Tuesday, January 4, 2011, from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church in Maryís Home. A rosary will be prayed at 3:30 p.m. and a prayer service will be at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, January 5, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church in Maryís Home, with the Rev. Patrick J. Shortt officiating. Interment will be in Our Lady of the Snows Cemetery in Maryís Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Our Lady of the Snows School in Maryís Home.
