Tyler McKinney

Tyler Phillip McKinney, 19, of O'Fallon, Ill., died Wednesday, February 23, 2011, at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, Ill. He was born November 11, 1991 in Jacksonville, Fla. Tyler was a 2010 O'Fallon Township High School graduate and a former member of the Lacrosse Team. He had been employed at Newbold Toyota as a porter. Tyler is survived by his father, Craig P. (Lynn) McKinney of O'Fallon, Ill.; mother, Dawn, (nee Owens) McKinney of Wildwood; a sister, Tiffany McKinney of Aurora, Ill.; step-brother, Charles Ambuehl of Greenville, Ill.; step-sister, Cassie Ambuehl of O'Fallon, Ill.; paternal grandmother, Sue (Charles) Rasley of O'Fallon, Ill.; maternal grandmother, Elaine Owens of Columbus, Miss.; nephew, Cameron Metzger of Aurora, Ill.; aunts and uncles, Cynthia (Don Nanney) Kurtak, Sherry K. (Steve) Mayhew, Cindy (Mike) McQullan, Shari (Tim) Trelow, Jeanne (Scott) Slauson, James (Buffy) McKinney, Kris (Kim) Rasley, Dana (Dean) Robertson of Milport, Ala., Ronnie (Danita) Owens of Columbus, Miss. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Donald Owens, and paternal grandfather, Eugene P. McKinney. Graveside service will be held today, Saturday, February 26, 2011, at 1:00 p.m. at Resurrection Cemetery, Jefferson City, with Monsignor Kurwicki officiating. Memorials in honor of Tyler may be made to the American Heart Association or the O'Fallon Township High School Lacrosse Team.
