Eva (Curty) Bond, age 95, of Eldon, passed away Monday, February 14, 2011, at St. Mary's Health Center in Jefferson City. She was born on September 10, 1915, in Etterville the daughter of the late Benjamin Holland and Maggie (Bell) Curty. She was married on December 23, 1944, in Eldon to Carl Winferd Bond, who preceded her in death on September 11, 2009. She had been employed at Montgomery Wards in Kansas City. Then employed by the State of Missouri Revenue Department Office of Corporation and Franchise Tax as an accountant and assistant supervisor until retiring after 27 years of service. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Eldon. She was formerly a member of Glenwood Baptist Church in Etterville. She was a member of the Eugene Country Club and the Etterville Friendship Club. She was also a member of the Miller Co. Missouri State Retirement Club, Miller Co. Democrat Club, Miller Co. Historical Society, X.Y.Z. of First Baptist Church of Eldon, Ladies Auxiliary of V.F.W. Post #2442 of Eldon and the American Association of Retired Persons, WIT, MESA, and the Classic Travel Club. She lived on a farm at Etterville until retirement in Sept. of 1981. Then moving to Eldon where she lived until the time of her death. She is survived by a grandson, Adam Bond Fehr of Jefferson City along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son, Gregory W. Bond; one sister, Victorene (Curty) Graham Hunter and two brothers, Lee N. and John E. Curty. Visitation will be on Saturday, February 19, 2011, from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Eldon. Funeral Service will be on Saturday, February 19, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Eldon with the Rev. David White officiating. Entombment will be in the Hawthorn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Jefferson City. Memorials are suggested to the First Baptist Church Building Fund.
