Rev. Kenneth Patterson

Rev. Kenneth Edward Patterson, 68, of Owensville, passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2011, at his residence. Kenneth was born in St. James on May 7, 1942, a son of the late Opal E. (Peters) and Victor Patterson. On August 11, 1962, in O'Fallon, he was united in marriage to Nan Jo Schwad. He was a member of the Christ Community Church in Owensville, which he founded in 2005. He was also Chaplain of Shield 24/7 and Gasconade County Sheriff's Dept. His survivors include his son, George Patterson and wife Christine of Owensville; special friend, Diane Becker of Farmington; brother, Tom Patterson and wife Phyllis of Holts Summit; sister, Joyce Massey of Big Piney; and two grandchildren, Kristin and Brittany Patterson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nan Jo Schwad; and brother-in-law, Clifford "Bud" Massey. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 16, at 10:00 a.m., at the Gottenstroeter Funeral Home in Owensville, with Pastor Jim Daniels and Pastor Shane Jarvis officiating. Burial will be in the Owensville City Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. at the Gottenstroeter Funeral Home in Owensville.
