Joan M. Campbell, 78, Piqua, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2011. She was born August 29, 1932, in Kimswick to the late Frank J. and Flora (Gowan) Mangold. She married Philip H. Easy and David Franklin Cooper, both of whom preceded her in death. She then married LeRoy G. Campbell December 22, 2004, and he survives. Mrs. Campbell earned her Masters degree from Pacific Western University and retired as a Nurse Anesthetist. Her dream finally was realized when she and LeRoy were married and he presented her with the family she never had. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed traveling the world with her husband, LeRoy. Other survivors include step-children, Duaine and Becky Campbell of Piqua, Ohio, Connie and David Oakes of Covington, Ohio; four grandchildren, Pat and Kim Campbell, Jason and Tia Schwabenland, Davey Oakes, Teresa and Ryan Beougher; 13 great-grandchildren; a brother, Frank J. and Helen Mangold Jr. of Jefferson City; and two sisters, Rosemarie Bentzen of Jefferson City and Pauline and Jack Deutman of Beverly Hills, Fla. She was preceded in death by two husbands; a brother, John Mangold; and three sisters, Trudy BlasÃˆ, Maggie Hasty, and Pat Gauvet. A funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 12, 2011, at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home, Piqua, Ohio, with Rev. Frank J. Sapp Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery, Piqua, Ohio. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
