Jerome H. Jaegers, age 85, of Loose Creek, passed away Thursday, February 3, 2011, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City. Jerome was born December 22, 1925, in Bonnots Mill, a son to the late Mathias and Elizabeth (Haslag) Jaegers. He attended school at Immaculate Conception in Loose Creek and was a World War II Army veteran. On May 16, 1953, he was united in marriage to Teresa Brand in Taos. She survives of the home. Jerome was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and VFW Post 4756 in Linn. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards and dice, and he loved spending time with his family and friends. In addition to his wife, Jerome is survived by two sons, Jerry and his wife Diane Jaegers and Leroy and his wife Debbie Jaegers, all of Bonnots Mill; four sisters, Sr. Mary Louise Jaegers, F.S.M. of Pilot Knob, Anna Marie Frank and her husband Floyd of Linn, Theresia Higgins and her husband Clifford of Centertown, and Connie Frank of Linn; eight grandchildren, Tanya (Kurt) Huber, Derek (Tami) Jaegers, Jason (Julie) Jaegers, Jeriane Jaegers, Devin (Mery) Jaegers, Justin (Amelia) Jaegers, LeAnn (Mark) Hoelscher, and Kaleb Jaegers; 15 great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Bernard and Francis Jaegers; and two sisters, Clarabelle Jaegers and Agnes Frank. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, February 7, 2011, at Morton Chapel in Linn with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 8, 2011, at Immaculate Conception Church in Loose Creek with Fr. Donald Antweiler as the celebrant. Interment will follow with military honors at Immaculate Conception Parish Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
