Michael Redel (Veteran)

Michael Thomas Redel, age 65, died Saturday January 29, 2011, at his home in Broken Arrow, Okla. Mike was born May 22, 1945, in Freeburg, Mo., to George and Antonia Redel. After five years of service in the Navy, Mike and his wife returned to Jefferson City, raising their two sons there. They were known in the business community primarily through their hair salon, Super Hair. Mike was loved for his laid back lifestyle, great sense of humor and for being a devoted family man and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Rosalyn; their sons, Darren Redel, Chad Redel and wife Sandra, all of Chicago, Ill.; his brothers, Sylvester "Buddy" Redel, Charles Redel and wife Lillian of Jefferson City; sister, Terry Schwartze and husband Martin of Holts Summit and brother, James Redel and wife Carol of Avon, Ind. Michael was preceded in death by his parents and a sister-in-law, Marcie Redel. Memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, February 5, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Jefferson City.
