Francis Henry Kuensting, age 84, of Lemay, Mo., died Thursday, December 29, 2011, in Lemay, Mo. He was born February 12, 1927, at St. Mary's Hospital, Jefferson City, Mo., to William and Gertrude (nee Schwartze) Kuensting. He was married to Agnes Marie Schmidt on June 16, 1951, at Immaculate Conception Church, Jefferson City, Mo. Francis worked in the automotive industry for many years, including Al Schepper's Motor Co., International Harvester, Motor Transportation, and National Auto Supply. Francis was a U.S. Army veteran (World War II), and a retired member of Teamsters Local 618 and the Knights of Columbus Rosati-Kain Council. He was a founding member of the 50+ Club of St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Lemay, Mo. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Agnes Marie (nee Schmidt) Kuensting; children, Mary (Ron) Buren, Anne (Paul) Hakenewerth, Frank (Jeane) Kuensting, Steve (Laura) Kuensting, Jane (Joe) Frank; 10 grandchildren; and brother, Charles Kuensting. He was preceded in death by stepsister, Virginia (nee Lieweke) Verhoff. Visitation at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, Saturday, December 31, 2011 from 9-10:30 a.m. Catholic Mass at 10:30 a.m. Burial to follow at 2:15 p.m. in Resurrection Cemetery, Jefferson City, Mo. Memorials may be sent to St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church or the St. Vincent DePaul Society. Kutis South County service. Arrangements are under the direction of Kutis Funeral Homes--South County Chapel, St. Louis.
