Virginia C. Mossman, 81, of Eldon, died Wednesday, December 28, 2011, at St. Mary's Health Center in Jefferson City. She was born September 25, 1930, in Mitchell, Missouri, to Emil and Cora (Maness) Gramm. On September 4, 1948, she was married in Louisiana, Missouri, to Floyd M. Mossman, who preceded her in death on March 31, 1994. A native of the St. Francois County, she was a 1948 graduate of Desloge High School and worked with her husband in the grocery business in Piedmont and Poplar Bluff. They owned and operated Coffman Beach Resort on the Lake of the Ozarks from 1965 to 1973. In 1976 they returned to Farmington where she lived until 2005 working at the Mineral Area Medical Center gift shop for over 20 years. During the past few years she worked at the Eldon Food Pantry. She was a member of the Eldon First Church of the Nazarene. Survivors include: her sons and their wives, Terry L. and Kathy Mossman and Steve and Terri Mossman, all of Eldon; five granddaughters, Jennifer Morrow and husband Kane of Slater, Rachelle Mossman of Springfield, Valerie Acosta and husband Paul of Odessa, Texas, Lindsay Mossman of Roach and Rebecca Mossman and fiancÃˆ Aaron Boswell of Osage Beach; her brother-in-law, Gerald Mossman of Farmington; sisters-in-law, Audrey Warren and Joyce Hoehn, both of Farmington and Marilyn Zimmerman of De Soto; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation with the family will be from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, December 30, with services immediately following at 7:00 p.m. at Rekus Funeral Home in Eldon. Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Saturday, December 31, at the First Church of the Nazarene in Farmington. Burial will be at Parkview Cemetery in Farmington.
