Mary Marie (Gordon) Landrum, 93, of Bedford, Texas, formerly of Jefferson City, died Saturday, December 24, 2011, at her daughter's home in Bedford, Texas. She was born December 2, 1918, in Callaway County, the daughter of Samuel J. and Erna Marie (Bugbee) Gordon. Marie was a graduate of Jefferson City High School and Capital City Business College. On December 24, 1939, Marie was united in marriage to Walter E. Landrum, who preceded her in death on February 13, 2009. She was employed with the Missouri State Highway Department and retired after 27 years of service. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Jefferson City, was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and enjoyed traveling and visiting with family and friends. Marie was a very devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother and was dearly loved by her family. Survivors include daughter, Sherrye Landrum Thompson of Bedford, Texas; son, Gordon Landrum of Kansas City, Mo.; two grandsons, Jeffrey Thompson and wife Marisa of Keller, Texas, Scott Landrum and wife Stacey of Springfield, Mo.; and great-grandchildren, Reagan and Walker Thompson and Devin and Brooklyn Landrum. In addition to her husband of 70 years, Marie was preceded in death by a great-grandchild, Hunter William Thompson. Friends will be received from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m., Monday, January 2, 2012, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home, where funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Riverview Cemetery.
