Mrs. Janice K. Henrickson, age 58 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., died Monday, December 26, 2011, at her home. Janice was born January 10, 1953, in Jefferson City, Mo., the daughter of Henry A. and Margaret M. Wilde Even. She was married on October 17, 1987, in Jefferson City, Mo. to Drew M. Henrickson. A lifelong resident of the central Missouri area, Janice was a 1971 graduate of Fatima High School in Westphalia, Mo. She also graduated from the University of Missouri at Columbia with a degree in Business Technology and Business Education. A homemaker, Janice was a member of the Cathedral of St. Joseph. She previously worked with the Missouri Division of Design and Construction, where she met her husband. She also taught at the Missouri State Correctional Center and worked at the Missouri Highway Patrol. She enjoyed traveling, especially to visit lighthouses; singing; and cooking. She loved to help others, feed the birds, and loved her dogs. Janice was an avid collector, particularly of cookbooks and souvenirs from vacations. Janice sang with her husband at St. Joseph's Cathedral in Jefferson City, Mo. Survivors include: her husband, Drew Henrickson; two brothers, Kenneth H. Even of San Diego, Calif., and Roger J. Even and his special friend, Sherry Wittrock of Jefferson City, Mo.; her aunt and uncle, Raymond and Sophia Wilde of Koeltztown, Mo.; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Alden and Pam Henrickson of Jefferson City, Mo.; her sister-in-law, Noelle Henrickson and her special friend, Steve Kersting; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Russell and Bonnie Henrickson; 12 nieces and nephews, Matthew Even and his wife, Megha; Katie Even and her husband, Josh Even; Jonathan Even and his special friend, Lindsey Salmons; Alex Even; Ann Even; Torie Even; Jeff Even; Rick Even; Greg Even; Aaron Henrickson; Matthew Henrickson; and William Henrickson, and eight great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, David Even; one niece, Amanda Henrickson; and seven aunts and uncles, Leona Dee, Pauline McClenathan, Theola Noblett, Eleanor Wilde, Alphonse Wilde, Anne Plassmeyer, and Charles Even. Visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., Thursday, December 29, 2011, with a prayer service to be conducted at 4:30 p.m. in the Freeman Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 30, 2011, at St. Joseph Church in Westphalia, Mo., with the Reverend Mark Smith officiating. Interment will be at the St. Joseph Cemetery in Westphalia, Mo. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to St. Joseph Church in Westphalia, Mo.
