Sandra Kay Gallatin, 60, of Fulton, passed away Thursday, December 15, 2011, at Landmark Hospital, Columbia. She was born September 18, 1951, in Dallas, Texas, the daughter of the late Thurman and Myrtle Shrodes Phillips. On September 6, 1991, she was united in marriage to Joseph E. Gallatin Jr., who survives at the home. Sandra was a graduate of Scott City High School in Scott City, Missouri. She was employed as Business Office Manager for Adams Street Place in Jefferson City. Sandra enjoyed camping, traveling, quilting, cooking and collecting Boyds Bears. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She is also survived by one son: Jerry Knight Jr., wife Leanne, of Scott City; one daughter: Lori Vetter, husband Dewayne, of Commerce; one step-son: Joseph Lee Gallatin of Jefferson City; one step-daughter: Lisa Vitt, husband Aaron, of Moberly; one sister: Mary Menz, husband Michael, of Jefferson City; and seven grandchildren: Zachary, Cameron, Chase, Logan, Kaylee, Luke, and Taylor. She was preceded in death by one sister: Willie Dempsey. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Sunday, December 18, 2011, at the Houser Millard Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Murl Nash officiating. Interment will be held in Cape Girardeau. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Cancer Society.
